The unearthly rock formations laid out in a maze of hoodoos cause Goblin Valley State Park to often be compared to the planet Mars. The mysterious and haphazard formations spark the imagination in childlike wonder while you make your own path through the hoodoos. Here visitors can explore at their leisure, scrambling on rocks while they discover some out-of-this-world terrain. A few established trails lead to distant points of interest but there is no right or wrong way to navigate the park.
This is an entertaining and unique desert landscape you’ll love playing in because it seems like it’s not earthly. Just outside the state park is a roadside rock art panel depicting people and animals that most visitors unknowingly skip over because they don’t know it is there. Definitely a guide favorite!
